Rilutek Information
Riluzole is used in patients to treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). ALS is a motor neuron disease in which the nerves from the spinal cord do not supply electrical stimulation to the muscles. The stimulation is required for the movement of all body parts.
It is recommended that Riluzole be taken once every 12 hours, unless otherwise stated by your physician. Riluzole should also be taken at least an hour before or two hours after your meal. Riluzole tablets should not be stored in any light and should be kept in a dark area at room temperature.

Rilutek Side Effects
The most common side effects caused by Riluzole are asthenia, nausea, dizziness, decreased lung function, diarrhea, abdominal pain, pneumonia, vomiting, vertigo, circumoral paresthesia, anorexia, and somnolence. If these side effects continue or are bothersome, contact your doctor as soon as possible.
