Dapsone Information
Dapsone is a sulfone antibiotic which is used to treat many conditions. Dapsone may be used for leprosy, skin problems, to prevent malaria in combination with pyrimethamine, and to prevent pneumonia in immunodeficient people. Before you start taking Dapsone, advise your doctor of any other medications that you may be taking at that time especially probenecid, rifampicin, and trimethoprim. Possible side effects that may occur while taking Dapsone include nausea, vomiting, or headache.
